Lorenzo Butler Three Home Runs

August 27, 2012 by

Lorenzo Butler Three Home Runs, Saturday, Tennessee’s Lorenzo Butler made three home runs and each time with two players on base at the 2012 Little League World Series (LLWS) of baseball in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Tennessee will move on to compete at the World Championship game on Sunday, and mostly due to Butler’s nine runs. An unbelievable final score of 24-16 and Tennessee wins the 2012 LLWS US Championship game.

Lorenzo Butler is 12-years-old, is 5’4″ and weighs 111 pounds and he just set a Little League World Series record. During Saturday’s game, Butler walked up to the plate looking slightly intimidated and then after a few balls and strikes he hit a home run, each time with two men on base.

Over the last week, the Tennessee coach, Steve Snyder has an incredibly understanding of his players and he has made it clear that their welfare is much more important than winning the game.
It has been 24 years since a team from Tennessee has competed at the LLWS games.

The 2012 LLWS started with sixteen teams and now it is down to two. Saturday afternoon Japan defeated Panama during the International Championship game 10-2. Tennessee and Japan will face off Sunday for the 2012 LLWS World Championship.
