Letterman Banned Guest, David Letterman explained to James Franco why his “Spring Breakers” director Harmony Korine was banned as a guest on “The Late Show.”
David Letterman finally explained why he banned guest Harmony Korine on his CBS show.

According to UPI, Letterman, 65, explained to James Franco on “The Late Show” why Korine, the director of Franco’s new movie “Spring Breakers,” was not allowed on his late-night show anymore.

He explained an incident that happened 10 years ago involving actress Meryl Streep and her purse.

“I went upstairs to greet Meryl Streep and welcome her to the show, and I knock on the door … and she was not in there,” Letterman said of the last time Korine visited the “Late Show” studio in the late 1990s. “And I looked around, and she was not in there, and I found your friend Harmony going through her purse. True story. And so I said: ‘Okay, That’s it. Put her things back in her bag and then get out of here.'”
