Kyle and Jackie O

November 30, 2013 by

Kyle and Jackie O, IT WAS the radio industry’s worst kept secret, but Kyle and Jackie O have finally announced they will be heading to 106.5.

After 13 years as the breakfast duo on Southern Cross Austereo’s 2Day FM, the pair have signed contracts with rival ARN (Australian Radio Network) for 2014.

Sandilands and Henderson completed their final show on 2Day FM this morning, saying they felt “weird” about the end of an era with SCA.

Jackie O thanked staff and listeners in her final address.

“Most importantly to all the listeners who have been incredibly loyal, we have had a fantastic ride here and it has been so so enjoyable and a great company to work for,” said Jackie O.

While Kyle, typically signed off by talking about money.

“OK guys, we love you, thanks for listening to us whether it was every day or every now and then, we’ve loved it here,” he said. “God, we’ve made millions of dollars out of these people. Thank you very much. And we’ve made this company hundreds millions too so don’t you worry about that, and we’ve shared it around.”
