Kim Kardashian and Kanye, Forte Di Belvedere Florence Italy, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s unbelievably lavish overseas wedding is officially set to take place in Italy, not France.

City officials of Florence confirmed to the Associated Press Friday that the famous couple will wed at a Florence fort on May 24, and not in a French palace as originally presumed.

The Hollywood couple dropped 300,000 euros to rent Forte di Belvedere, which dates back to the 16th century and is located next to Florence’s famed Boboli Gardens. A Protestant minister will preside, a spokeswoman at the Florence mayor’s office said.

News of the Italian location was first reported by Entertainment Tonight Thursday, but sources told Us Weekly that the two have more surprises up their sleeves.

“Kim and Kanye have told all guests different info,” a source said. “No one knows all of the details.”

It’s a possibility that guests could attend a rehearsal dinner in Paris and then be flown to Italy for the actual ceremony and reception.

West added fuel to the speculation as he has been spending time in Florence this week.

He spoke to the La Nazione newspaper Friday about his love of the city.

“I adore Florence,” he said (via Us Weekly).

“I love Italy and the Italian lifestyle. To tell you the truth, I already came to the banks of the Arno (River) with Kim last year, just the two of us, incognito.”

“I think that our daughter North was conceived here among the Renaissance masterpieces,” he continued. “It was our first honeymoon. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world – for me the most beautiful in Europe.”

“I am composing a whole album, Made in Florence,” the rapper revealed.

West showing his intense admiration for the city was the biggest clue to date that the pair will honor their relationship by exchanging vows at this clearly sacred spot.

“(I’m) very happy,” he added about soon becoming a husband.

“I am a romantic: for Mother’s Day I gave Kim a wall of flowers. Family is everything for me, the antidote to the pressure of fame. Family and creativity relax me. I am happy to create for my family.”
