Kardashians Sue Ex-Stepmom

Kardashians Sue Ex-Stepmom, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian, along with their mother Kris Jenner had some serious claws out yesterday.
The sisters filed a lawsuit yesterday in California federal court against Ellen Pearson, their ex-stepmom who had wed their father Robert Kardashian just two months before his passing in 2003. As it happens, Ellen is in possession of the girls’ father’s diary and photo album that document the family’s life prior to their success.
The suit claims that Ellen has a “despicable and unlawful scheme to hold in secret and convert, and now exploit … private personal and copyright protected” material. In addition, the suit transcript states that “bulk of [Robert’s] personal tangible and intangible property” was left to his four children — this includes the diary AND photo albums — and that, therefore, these items are “incontestably” theirs.
But why are the ladies filing suit against Ellen now if she’s been holding onto these items for the last decade? They believe that Ellen “sought to peddle and exploit, and disclosed to tabloid and other media, the private and valuable personal papers of Robert Kardashian.”
