Helicopter Crash In Glasgow, Nov. 29, 2013, A police helicopter crashed into the roof of a pub in Glasgow, Scotland, late on Friday, trapping an unknown number of people who were packed inside for a concert and killing at least one, officials said.

Scottish authorities said the death toll was likely to rise. Police said that 32 people had been taken to hospitals across the city after the crash at the Clutha Vaults pub on Stockwell Street at 10:25 p.m. local time (5:25 p.m. ET).

“Sadly at this time I can confirm one fatality,” Chief Constable of Police Stephen House told reporters early Saturday as search and rescue teams picked through the rubble. “We expect that number to rise in the coming hours.”
