Fusillade À Washington
October 4, 2013 by staff
Fusillade À Washington, Isolated act or result of “Shutdown” currently paralyzed the United States and ignited the political debate? Impossible for the time to answer. Anyway, Thursday evening (French time), gunshots rang near the Capitol – the seat of American Parliament – Washington, while many elected discussing the budget in the august House. The few available evidence, between four and a dozen explosions were heard by witnesses and at least one policeman was injured.
The madman was a woman
The situation degenerated after a car driven by a woman – and that was a child, according to police – tried to force security barriers placed around the White House. Chased by the police, the vehicle, a dark color, would have struck a police officer, before touching new security fence, this time near a Capitol building, less than five kilometers from the presidential residence. It was at this time that shots have sounded, all came from the side of law enforcement, said Kim Dine, chief of the Capitol Police. The woman was fatally hit. Short curly district – ultra-sensitive – was reopened less than half an hour later.
