Former US President Donald Trump Prepares to Face Criminal Charges in New York

Former US President Donald Trump is meeting with several attorneys at Trump Tower in New York as he prepares to face criminal charges Tuesday.
Trump is facing criminal charges related to paying pornographic film actress Stormy Daniels – ahead of the 2016 US presidential elections – so that she would remain silent about an alleged sexual relationship she had with the former president.
The city is witnessing tight security measures, as the New York authorities expect demonstrations that supporters and opponents of Trump may organize.
The 76-year-old former US president insists on denying any wrongdoing.
Thus, Trump is the first US president – whether in service or his term has expired – to face criminal charges in US history.
