DOG CREDITED WITH SAVING FAMILY FROM SNAKE- OFF THE LEASH

October 10, 2013 by

DOG CREDITED WITH SAVING FAMILY FROM SNAKE- OFF TS-EX- LEASH, Edward Snowden’s father arrived in Moscow Thursday, saying he hoped to find out more about his son, who was granted temporary asylum in Russia after leaking details of NSA surveillance programs.

“I’m here certainly to learn about my son’s situation,” Lon Snowden told reporters at a Moscow airport, adding that he was “thankful” to Russia for “keeping him safe and secure.”

If a meeting took place, it would be the first meeting between father and son since the revelations were first published earlier this year.

The Eastern Brown snake is the second most venomous snake in the world. One drop of it’s venom could potentially kill 16 adults, so a bite could potentially kill up to 100. That is of course extremely bad news if you are one person (or dog) and you get a nip from this animal!

Generally they are not aggressive from what we can see but like any creature, if threatened it will attack.

Jeff’s family played mostly in the veggie garden in their Gold Coast, Australia home. Jeff is a Staffordshire terrier.

So when Jeff found a Eastern Brown snake in the veggie patch it is reported that he fought off the snake.

The dog and snake were both found in the patch. Jeff had a bite to his nose and received three shots of antivenom but was told his chances were not good.

Well, luckily, Jeff pulled through and is now home.

We don’t know the fate of the snake but it sounds like it was not good and of course that is always sad too!

Have you ever seen one of these snakes? – Dog credited with saving family from snake- off the leash
