Comedian Richard Lewis Announces Parkinson’s Diagnosis on Twitter

On Sunday, Richard Lewis, a renowned comedian and alumnus of Ohio State University, shared with his fans on Twitter that he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Lewis, who starred in “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and graduated from Ohio State in 1969, stated in a video posted on Sunday night that he received his diagnosis about two years ago.
After undergoing multiple surgeries, including procedures on his shoulder, back, and hip, Lewis began experiencing difficulty walking and shuffling his feet. Following a brain scan, he received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. However, Lewis remains positive, noting that he received the diagnosis later in life and that he is on the right medications to manage the disease.
