Classic BRIT Awards 2012

Classic BRIT Awards 2012, The performance by Gary Barlow, Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber and The Military Wives Choir, conducted by Gareth Malone, will be ashowstopper in a celebration of what has been an incredible year for Great Britain and the music that defined the Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic Games. With Gary Barlow and Andrew Lloyd Webber taking centre stage to play two grand pianos, they will perform their UK no.1 single ‘Sing’ with the Classic BRITs Single of the Year nominees, The Military Wives Choir.

Gary Barlow said: ‘The Classic BRITs is something I’ve never done before, so I’mvery excited to be a part of it. It’ll be nice to get everyone back together for a performance of ‘Sing’ as we’ve only ever performed it once together live.’

Four times Classic BRIT Award winner Russell Watson has also confirmed that he will finally return to the Classic BRITs Awards stage following his devastating cancellation the night before last year’s show due to ill health.

Taking place on 2 October at the Royal Albert Hall, The Classic BRIT Awards 2012 will be hosted by Myleene Klass. Hollywood legend John Williams is this year’s recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award. This will be celebrated by a visual and audio spectacular performed by the London Chamber Orchestra conducted by James Morgan. The orchestra will present a montage of John Williams’ towering body of film score epics such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Superman, ET and Close Encounters of theThird Kind.
