Cheapest Grocery Stores

Cheapest Grocery Stores, There are several stores to shop, but then there’s the one with the cheapest groceries. We compared some items with Food Lion, Harris Teeter, and Walmart.
To be fair, these items range from eggs, to chicken, to veggies, fruit, beans, pasta, etc. The prices were recorded at each store. The conclusion was interesting.
Some people are anti-Walmart because they hate shopping there since there’re so many people are always in the way.
Nevertheless, the savings might be paying you to shop there. Walmart is the cheaper alternative. If you’re broke, you can stretch your dollar a lot more at this store.
Check this out:
There’s another store called Bi-Lo that advertises itself as the cheaper store. However, if you look closely, you may be surprised by some things. For example, it can be the most expensive store depending on what you buy. In some items like pineapples, broccoli and brown rice, Bi-Lo was almost double the price of other stores.
There are other things you can do to cut down your grocery bill. First, cut wastage. This is hard to do but by keeping the fridge clean and looking around in it once in a while you should be able to keep wastage to a minimum.
Buy cheese blocks instead of slices. When we compared the prices of some recent purchases, and it was $1.29 per 100g of block cheese vs $2.09/100g of sliced — 62% more! Buy the block then slice it up. Store it in Tupperware.
And finally, packaging is everything. For example, those squeeze bottles of ketchup, mustard and mayo are apparently more expensive than the regular containers.
