Former President Donald Trump held his first 2024 campaign rally in Waco, surrounded by supporters holding up “witch hunt” signs. In a fiery speech lasting nearly 90 minutes, he presented himself as a victim of politically motivated legal investigations and promised to be the retribution for the MAGA movement.

Trump portrayed himself as the only defender of American values and warned of a bleak future if he is not granted a second four-year term.
He also pledged to carry out the largest deportation operation in U.S. history by increasing the number of border enforcement officers and to reinstate Title 42, an emergency health order he initiated at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been utilized to deny entry to migrants, including asylum seekers, from the southern border.
The Biden administration plans to terminate the national pandemic-era public health order, along with Title 42, in May. Trump also claimed that he would prevent World War III if he were to return to the White House.

A Florida school principal has stepped down from her position following allegations that parents were unhappy about their sixth-grade children seeing Michelangelo’s famous sculpture of David, a Biblical figure.
The Washington Post reported that Hope Carrasquilla, the principal of Tallahassee Classical School, was asked to resign during an emergency school board meeting. The Tallahassee Democrat was the first to break the news.
Although Carrasquilla was not informed of the reason for her dismissal, she believes it may be linked to a lesson about the nude marble statue taught to sixth-grade students.
In a letter to the school board, Carrasquilla expressed her sadness at leaving her role: “It is with a heavy heart that my time as the principal of Tallahassee Classical School has come to an end,” she wrote, according to the Post.
Carrasquilla said she was taken aback by the reaction she received from the school board, telling HuffPost that a letter intended for parents before the lesson was not sent due to miscommunications.
Carter’s re-election sabotage, Interference with Carter’s re-election campaign.

More than 40 years have passed, but former Texas Lieutenant Governor Ben Barnes still remembers his trip to the Middle East vividly. At the time, he did not realize the true purpose of the mission, which was to sabotage the re-election campaign of President Jimmy Carter. In 1980, Carter was facing a hostage crisis in Iran that had hindered his presidency and chances of securing a second term. His best hope for victory was to free the 52 Americans held captive before Election Day, something that Barnes’ mentor, former Texas Governor John B. Connally Jr., was determined to prevent.
Connally, a political powerhouse who had served three presidents and recently lost his own bid for the White House, had switched from Democrat to Republican and sought to assist Ronald Reagan in defeating Carter. Barnes claims that in doing so, Connally hoped to make a case for his own appointment as secretary of state or defense in a new administration.

Ahead of potential criminal charges against Donald Trump in the coming week, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has cautioned against any form of intimidation or threats. In a message addressed to his employees, Bragg assured that law enforcement partners would investigate any specific or credible threats against his office and that proper safeguards would be put in place to provide a secure work environment for all 1,600 staff members.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, has predicted his arrest, which he claims will happen on Tuesday, and has called for protests in a furious Truth Social post written in all-caps. In his message, he called on his supporters to “take our nation back” while depicting a violent vision of America in chaos.
The statements made by Bragg and Trump have created a highly charged political atmosphere, with concerns about the potential for violence and unrest. However, Bragg has reassured his employees and the public that law enforcement officials will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of all involved, while investigations into the potential charges against Trump continue.
Over 800 Stores Expected to Close Across the United States in 2023
March 4, 2023 by USA Post · Comments Off on Over 800 Stores Expected to Close Across the United States in 2023
In recent years, the retail industry in the United States has faced significant challenges, with many retailers struggling to adapt to changing consumer behavior and increased competition from e-commerce giants like Amazon. These challenges have only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced many stores to close their doors or limit their operations.
According to recent reports, more than 800 stores are expected to close across the US in 2023. While this number may seem alarming, it is important to note that store closures are not a new phenomenon. In fact, retail chains have been closing stores for years in response to changing market conditions.
The reasons behind the store closures vary. Some retailers have struggled to compete with online retailers and have been forced to close under performing locations to cut costs. Others have been hit hard by the pandemic and have been unable to recover. And some retailers are simply shifting their focus away from brick-and-mortar stores in favor of online sales.
While store closures can be a sign of a struggling retail industry, it is not necessarily a cause for alarm. In fact, some experts argue that store closures can be a positive sign, as they can indicate that retailers are taking steps to adapt to changing market conditions and streamline their operations.
Of course, store closures do have an impact on the communities where they are located. When a store closes, it can lead to job losses and a decrease in foot traffic in the area. However, many retailers are working to minimize the impact of store closures by offering severance packages and investing in their online operations.
In conclusion, while store closures may be a cause for concern for some, they are a natural part of the retail industry’s evolution. As retailers continue to adapt to changing market conditions, it is likely that we will see more store closures in the coming years. However, this does not necessarily mean that the retail industry is in trouble – rather, it is a sign that retailers are taking proactive steps to stay competitive in an ever-changing marketplace.
