Casey Johnson And Tila Tequila
December 9, 2009 by USA Post
Casey Johnson And Tila Tequila,Tila Tequila might be getting hitched … sort of. She posted a UStream video saying that she’s now engaged to Johnson & Johnson heiress, Casey Johnson. According to Tila, Casey gave her a 17 carat diamond ring.
An attendee at the L.A. launch party for Travis Barker’s clothing line, where Tila and Casey first told people about the engagement on Tuesday night, said to US Magazine:
“Tila and Casey told everyone they were engaged. They were showing off the ring to people!”
Now the question is, where will the two get married? Tila, a Houston native, lives in L.A. Since Proposition 8 passed last year, same-sex couples aren’t allowed to marry in California. A similar law was passed in Texas in 2005, so tying the knot (legally) here in her home state isn’t an option, either. (Though a judge did recently rule that a same-sex couple in Dallas could legally divorce in Texas, which brings the entire ban on same-sex marriage into question. Not to mention that one Houston attorney recently pointed out that poor wording in the state’s constitutional ban actually barred all marriages.)
Currently, Tila and her wife-to-be can legally marry in Massachusettes, Connecticut, Iowa and Vermont. And starting on January 1, 2010, New Hampshire. If they do marry in one of these states, their marriage (and the rights that come along with it) will be honored in New York and Washington D.C.
See the announcement (and the ring!) in the video below. But be warned … they ladies made the announcement in their skivvies, so it’s probably NSFW.
