California Officers Shot, A manhunt was underway Friday evening for a 28-year-old man who shot and wounded an immigration agent and two police officers during a homeland security investigation near Sacramento, authorities said.
The special agent was taken to a hospital and was “stable and alert” after the initial 3:10 p.m. PT shooting in Roseville, Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Virginia Kice said in a statement.
“He’s sitting up, he’s going be all right. That’s fortunate,” Kice told the Sacramento Bee.
Two hours later, about 5:10 p.m., two Roseville police officers were shot during the manhunt involving several agencies, a police spokesman told KXTV. One officer was listed in serious condition at Sutter Roseville Medical Center; the other officer’s injuries were less serious.
