Burke Next Bachelorette

Burke Next Bachelorette, Reports say that “Dancing with the Stars” participant Cheryl Burke is slated to be the next “Bachelorette.” Rumors doing the rounds are that Burke is all set to ditch her dancing shoes for roses and make time for group dates instead of dance rehearsals.

The professional dancer recently spoke to E! saying that she did meet with the ABC producers and executives, but nothing is confirmed yet. She said, “I have met with the producers of ‘The Bachelorette’ and I also have met with ABC producers and development executives, just to develop other shows.”

She added that she realizes “DWTS” will not be on air forever and is looking for other opportunities, “I’m taking this opportunity now to develop shows. I met with different high-powered producers, companies and networks about possibly doing new shows, and ‘The Bachelorette’ happened to be one of them.”

However, she did confirm one thing – she will be moving onto something new “very soon”. “If I don’t do The Bachelorette, I’m sure I’ll be doing something else very soon,” she said. If she does opt out of “DWTS” next year, it will be the first time the dancer will not be part of the show since its inception.

Burke told E! that she is definitely interested in being a part of “The Bachelorette” and the main reason is because she wants to find true love and not for exposure like the other participants. People do wonder why Burke needs to go on television to find a partner but she says that it has been very hard for her to find a suitable partner.

She said, “Honestly, it’s something I’ve been struggling with-I dated a few guys over summer-I end up picking the wrong people for me. I’m not successful at it. I just thought to myself, ‘Why don’t I let someone else do it?’ I think it would be a way for me to focus on a way to find true love. It sounds cliché, but it’s true.”

She continued saying that she feels it’s about time she is in a steady relationship, “I’m turning 29 soon, and it’s something I really want to have. I want to be in a relationship. I’ve been so married to my work lately that it’s been a struggle to find a boyfriend, or find someone to talk to. I haven’t had a proper date in two, three years.”

However, “Bachelorette” sources have informed E! that casting Burke in the show is “never gonna happen.” The source said that the show’s producers prefer casting “real people” than known faces. The highly placed source further revealed that Burke is the one who has been “begging to do the show” and not the other way round.

Presently, the 28-year-old is competing in the “All Stars” season of “DWTS” alongside Emmitt Smith.
