Pineapple (Ananas comosus) is the common name for an edible tropical plant and also its fruit.It is native to South America particularly in Brazil and Paraguay though today it is grown in many parts of the world.

The pineapple is indigenous to South America and is believed to originate from Paraguay and southern Brazil. However, little is known of the origin of the domesticated pineapple. The fruit has a lot of culinary uses and a high nutritional value as it contains natural sugars, manganese, potassium and vitamin C.
The pineapple originates from any southern hemispherical region. They are indigenous to South America and eventually spread to the Caribbean. They are known as a symbol of hospitality and friendship. They are fragrant, golden and delicious.
Pineapples mainly come from South America. There are tropical fruits which have a sweet flavour and juicy flesh and they are native to central and South America. They mainly grow on trees in tropical regions.
