Black Eyed Peas Recipe

Black Eyed Peas Recipe, Happy New year in advance, As we slide towards New Year’s Day, it’s time to think about the traditional foods to the ring in 2011. In the South, that means inviting black-eyed peas (no, no band Fergie) at the dinner table. A symbol of luck, the little black-eyed peas also goes perfectly with smoked ham, as in this recipe KitchenDaily contributor Ruth Cousineau, who offers to serve with cornbread and some fried green vegetables rich in such the cabbage. Hoppin John is the dish par excellence of the New Year, and use salt pork instead of ham.
After a few minutes to get a jar of Black Eyed Peas ready not only with the stomach that may have consumed a bit too bubbly, but for good luck. Black Eyed Peas was a classic New Years Day for good luck dish generations.
