Beckham at Arsenal, The ex-England captain started training with the Gunners yesterday – as revealed by SunSport – and will stay for three weeks until he decides on his future.

Boss Wenger, whose side host Liverpool tonight, insists it is unlikely he will sign Becks.

And the Frenchman hinted Beckham, 37, may not find a new club until the summer.

Wenger said: “He’s fantastic – that is one of the reasons I took him here.

“Beckham always has a good word for people. The young English players look at him and take his advice on board. His advice is positive.

“This guy has fantastic quality and has done the maximum in his career. Why? Because he loves football. After training he stays and plays.”

Beckham, a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy after 5½ years last month, rang Wenger to ask permission to train with the club for a third time.
