Baiser Athlètes Russes, It is a kiss that should be talked about. To celebrate their victory in the 4x400m relay event ladies Saturday, August 17, the Russian athlete Tatyana Firova and Kseniya Ryzhova have kissed on the mouth. “A Kiss to the Russian or a gesture of protest?” Asks FranceTV info and notes that “the two riders were challenged and, intentionally or not, Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
Vladimir Putin has in fact enacted in June a law that punishes any act of “propaganda” homosexual to minors. The text is considered discriminatory by human rights and has already attracted a lot of criticism around the world, six months before the Olympic Games in Sochi in southern Russia.
