AJ McLean and wife Rochelle announce separation to work on themselves and their marriage
AJ McLean, the 45-year-old Backstreet Boys singer, and his wife Rochelle, 41, have decided to take some time apart after 11 years of marriage, but they plan to reunite in the future, according to TMZ.
The couple released a joint statement to the outlet stating that they mutually agreed to temporarily separate to work on themselves and their marriage, hoping to build a stronger future together.
The statement also requested privacy and respect during this difficult time, especially for their children Elliott, 10, and Lyric, 6.
The pair married in December 2011 at the Beverly Hills Hotel after meeting in 2008, and Rochelle was working as a waitress in Los Angeles. A representative for McLean has yet to comment on the matter.
