Auburn Hail Mary

Auburn Hail Mary, What the college football world witnessed Saturday night was magic.
On fourth-and-18 on their own 27-yard line down by one, Auburn made the play of the year. Quarterback Nick Marshall threw a 73-yard Hail Mary pass that was tipped by two Georgia defensive backs and caught by Tigers receiver Ricardo Louis, who ran it in for the game-winning touchdown with 25 seconds left. It was a play you had to see to believe.
Final score: Auburn 43, Georgia 38.
The ninth-ranked Tigers dominated the whole game and had a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter. But it quickly disappeared and became a 1-point game thanks to Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray, who ran for a 5-yard touchdown to give the Bulldogs a 38-37 lead with 1:49 to play.
With the clock ticking, Auburn engineered a final drive that kept its SEC West hopes alive.
The Georgia sideline was completely devastated.
Auburn’s win sets up an epic Iron Bowl matchup with No. 1 Alabama in Jordan-Hare Stadium on Nov. 30.
After the game, CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson asked Tigers’ coach Gus Malzahn about the upcoming rivalry game.
“It ought to be a good one,” he said.
