Attomic Kitten & Reunion

October 18, 2012 by

Attomic Kitten & Reunion, The two bands – who both scored a string of hits during the 90s and early part of the 2000s – will join other acts including B*witched, the Honeyz, 911 and Liberty X on the show, which is due to be screened early next year. It will follow them over the course of a fortnight as they rehearse ahead of a major comeback show – as well as looking at the relationships within the band and, in some cases, what led them to part company in the first place.

It is also reported that Kerry Katona will rejoin Atomic Kitten as part of the band’s line-up for the show.

‘We are thrilled to bring the stories of these pop groups up to date,’ said ITV’s head of digital channels Angela Jain.

‘A lot has happened in the time these bands have been apart – marriages, divorces, and changes in careers – and who knows quite what will happen when they reunite?’

Atomic Kitten, whose former members included Katona, Natasha Hamilton, Liz McClarnon and Jenny Frost – had three number one singles including Whole Again, and their covers of The Bangles’ Eternal Flame and the Blondie hit The Tide Is High.

Katona was an original member of the band but quit in 2000, replaced by Frost, and has since gone on to appear in a string of reality TV shows including I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice.

5ive, fronted by singer Ritchie Neville, were best known for chart-toppers Keep On Movin’ and their cover of Queen’s We Will Rock You.
