Are Banks Open On New Years Eve, People are searching that “are the banks open on New Year’s Eve?” The answer to that question is yes, since December 31st, 2010 is not a holiday so most banks should be opened during the last day of the year.
The fact that the last day of the year is a Friday could mean that some banks close earlier, but they should be open in the morning. It will be interesting to see how these banks are all busy people will receive a paycheck on Friday and could be the case that there are long lines to not make money, but only to withdraw the money. The Tolland Post Office will close at noon today and remain closed on New Year’s Day. The post office at 919 Main Street in Willimantic will open later for those who have yet to receive their mail later in the day.
The Town Hall will close early today due to holiday. Its hours are 8:30 -4:30 pm abstracts will be open again on Monday.
Also a reminder: Garbage and recycling will be picked the day because of the snowstorm of the Year. Those who normally have Thursday picked days should leave their bins on Friday. Normal Friday pick-up can bring out the waste and recycling on Saturday.
Tolland Public Library is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. New Alliance Bank is open today 9:00 to 3:00 p.m. Workers Federal Credit Union open 14 hours until the New Year’s Eve? The traditional? Rockville Bank? in town is open until 16 pm, while those near the Big Y stores are open 18 hours until the New Year’s Eve All banks in town are closed on New Year’s Day.
