Adele Prince Charles

Adele Prince Charles, Adele was given the honor by Prince Charles.
Adele has received numerous accolades for her chart-topping album and hit songs, but none could arguably compare to a royal honor.

The 25-year-old singer was honored Thursday by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace with the MBE medal, which is given to exemplary British subjects, reports People.

Looking poised and sophisticated wearing a long-sleeve Stella McCartney tea dress, Adele shook hands and chatted with the Prince of Wales. He honored the “Rolling in the Deep” singer with a pin, which inducted her as a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire and symbolized her “services to music.”

Adele holds her MBE medal for services to music, which she received on Thursday.
The 65-year-old Prince stood in for his mother Queen Elizabeth, 87, who was in the midst of planning her holiday festivities at her country home in Sandringham.

In the most respectful manner, Adele stepped back in a curtsey before her royal moment was over. Throughout the memorable occasion, Adele wore a smile as she basked in her achievement.

Another accomplishment the mother-of-one to son Angelo James can be proud of is the fact that her last album “21,” which was released two years ago, is still ranked among the best-selling female albums of 2013. She shares the company of the year’s latest chart-toppers, Rihanna, Lorde, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, and even Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas album, “Wrapped in Red.”
