The frail 94 year old was discharged from the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Monday after being treated for symptoms associated with severe pneumonia, but she was back in the care of doctors 24 hours later. Her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, told TMZ that the star veteran underwent surgery to treat a “severe infection in the stomach”, which was caused by a feeding tube.

She lost consciousness in the early hours of Wednesday and has not responded since. Gabor has been in and out of hospital since breaking her hip in a fall last summer. In January, part of her leg was amputated to stop the spread of gangrene and health fears mounted in March, when he began coughing up blood.

Von Anhalt is reported to have put his wife’s house on the market in an effort to pay their mounting medical expenses.
“I just want to settle the debts of my wife and keep her comfortable,” he told a press conference and tour of the property in January. “Keeping just a month in the house and is 35,000. It gives me a big headache, and I can not afford to keep paying the same.”

German-born Von Anhalt, Gabor said he had no health insurance and was accumulating monthly medical bills and up to 21,000. “She’s partying with the rich and famous, flirted and sometimes we got married,” he said. “She was not thinking about the future.”
