Zara Phillips WeddingZara Phillips Wedding, For the second time in a year the royal family Gladrags dusted off their to see one of theirs marrying a commoner, but this time sporting heroics. But all eyes were on the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Phillips when he arrived at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh Royal Mile by marriage to the England rugby player Mike Tindall.

Thousands lined the narrow streets of the city hoping to catch a glimpse of Phillips, once considered a rebel because of their real necklines, short skirts and daring tongue piercing. But when he left the car outside the church, revealed an ivory silk faille and silk duchess satin gown by British designer trained and Edinburgh Stewart Parvin.

The Queen also wore a matching apricot Parvin straw hat by Rachel Trevor Morgan.

As the time of the wedding approached, royals began to arrive from the nearby Palace of Holyrood. When they left their limousine driver were received by the main line of the Queen, Derek Potter, who played a simple melody in the bagpipes.

Among the first to arrive were the Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, followed by Prince Andrew and his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, Princess Princess.

They all cheered by the crowd waiting as they left their cars, but the louder roar was reserved for Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry. As William and Kate Middleton first entered the church he acknowledged the crowd with a brief gesture.

The last of the senior royals arrive were Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, which again was cheered loudly by the thousands camped out behind protective barriers.

The couple was followed by the Queen and Prince Philip, who received a huge roar of people of good will, which was recognized by two with a short wave before they were received, like all members of the family attend the actual service, the Rev. Neil Gardner, who heads the service.

The mother of the bride, Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence came just before this group to take their places in the church. All real men were dressed in the morning, while women wore dresses.

Some of the most famous names in English rugby were also present, reflecting Mike Tindall foot in the game as a former captain. Current National coach Martin Johnson got one of the many buses that take guests to the ceremony. Johnson was walking in the gardens of the church, pausing to shake hands with friends and colleagues who saw outside the building entrance.

His predecessor, Sir Clive Woodward was also on the guest list, along with the godfather of Zara, the former Formula One champion Sir Jackie Stewart.

Unlike William and Kate Middleton ceremony in April, the service was not televised, and the crowds gathering in Edinburgh, were told by the police had little to see. However, the prospect of a glimpse of the royal family was enough to attract hundreds of Scots, including a dozen people camped overnight to gain a view of the front row.

Waving a Canadian flag, Margaret Kittle, 76, said he had traveled from Ontario, Canada, and stake a place in Friday night. “I flew over on Saturday and have been here since last night. I began to follow the royal family after I saw George VI and Queen back home in Canada when I was four years old,” he said.

Tindall, 32, proposed to Phillips, 30, in December at £ 800,000 home in Regency Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, after having been together for seven years. The England rugby star held his bachelor party in Miami, while Zara – one of the leading equestrian competitors from Britain – held her bachelorette party at a spa in Portugal.

Phillips and Tindall dazzling evening hosted a party Friday to the family and guests on board the former Royal Yacht Britannia, which had hired for the occasion. But the match was a rare moment of glamor to the general public to land Phillips, who held a private wedding at the Palace of Holyrood, the Queen’s official residence in Scotland.

The couple is known for her devotion to the sport ahead of her celebrity, and the plan to postpone their honeymoon because both are due to feature in the main event next week to the bride on the evidence of horses, and groom in England rugby international against Wales. Phillips also plans to continue using her maiden name when she competes.
