Zainab Bibi Nephew

Zainab Bibi Nephew, Pakistani police have arrested a woman who killed her husband and tried to cook his body parts. The police arrested Zainab Bibi, 40, and her nephew Zaheer Allah Ditta, 22, in the Shah Faisal colony of Karachi.

Her landlord, who lived on the ground floor of their two-storey house, was so perturbed by the cooking that he went upstairs to inquire.

The scene he saw horrified him – Zainab was cooking curry with flesh chopped from her husband’s arm and leg.

Area police chief Khalid Nadeem Baig said pots of cooked and uncooked flesh were also recovered from the kitchen of the house.

“They killed Ahmed Abbas, Zainab’s husband, chopped his body into pieces and were about to cook the flesh,” he said.

Television networks showed gruesome footage of the human flesh in a pot ready for the stove.

Zainab has been living in the house with her 18-year-old daughter Sonia from an ex-husband, and Ahmed Abbas, whom she had married five years ago.

On Thursday morning, she prepared breakfast for Abbas with five sedatives in his cup of tea.

When the drugs took effect Zainab strangled him to death with a rope.

“When he finally died, I felt shudders of fear for the first time,” Zainab told The Express Tribune from inside her lock-up.

“I didn’t have the courage to approach his body for the next half an hour.”

Zainab said that she murdered her husband after he had tried to molest her daughter, adding that she had stopped him from doing so on several occasions in the past.

However, she later contradicted herself by saying: “He never laid a hand on her but he used to say dirty things whenever he came home drunk.”
