Baywatch star returned to his first acting role, playing Snapper “Dr. William Young in long-term U.S. soap The Young and the Restless.
Dr. Young played for six years from 1975 before finding fame in Knight Rider and Baywatch.
The star was joined on screen by his daughter Taylor Ann, 20, playing a nurse in the hospital scenes, where it returns to treat his ailing mother.
Hasselhoff was delighted to receive the invitation to return for series creators Lee and William Bell.
“I wanted to return to thank Bill and Lee Phillip Bell,” said David.
“He believed in me. I am always loyal to the people who believe in me.”
The actor said that in the U.S. continues to be recognized for the role to date.
“People still see me and shout: Hey, Snapper,”he said.
Another incentive to lure him back was there was a perfect role for his daughter Taylor Ann, who auditioned and won the role.
“I did not give many tips, except to say, ‘Keep the energy up,”he said.
