Xavier Tondo Dead

Tondo, 32, was killed while trying to take their car garage in a residential complex on the outskirts of Granada, the spokesman Juan Carlos Lopez, said.
He said the cyclist out of the car to try to get the garage door open, but his car rolled forward and crushed him against the door. The official said another person was in the front seat passenger at the time.
Cadena SER radio said Tondo was the cyclist also Benat Intxausti and the two were going to train with Alejandro Valverde in the Sierra Nevada in Granada.
The news of the death spread quickly among the cycling community.
“My deepest condolences to his family,” said Tour de France winner and current leader of the Giro d’Italia Alberto Contador on Twitter “It was a wonderful person who loved the sport as anyone. I miss you so much. Rest in peace. ”
Tondo, winner of this year and the tour of Castile and Leon, had planned to compete in the Tour de France for his new team Movistar.
The Spanish cycling federation said Tondo had won 14 races in his career.
