WWE WRESTLEMANIA 2011 and EDGE, Still surprised and amazed by one of the most striking WrestleManias history, all the WWE fans in the world commensurate with Monday Night Raw with one thing in mind: sequelae and kickback always remain the showcase of the immortals. It was found that for sure, but what started the evening was the surprise of the year. One of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, Edge, announced his retirement from wrestling, citing repeated injury as the reason.

As the WWE Universe is still recovering from the effects of this monumental announcement, we look back at the illustrious career of The Ultimate Opportunist, and try to guess why I had to take this step in the prime of his career immediately after an epic World Heavyweight Title defense on the biggest stage of them all.

Edge’s career in the WWE is best summarized in the first line of each of the issues of entry, ‘You think you know me. “When this man arrived, you can always expect the unexpected. Marry CEOs in the ring, to bring not one but two followers of their party, the master manipulator has used every trick in the book and a generous won championships in the 15-year career in WWE. Even now, when be expected to make a huge victory speech, the first thing after entering the ring is announcing his retirement!

Edge began his wrestling career in the early 1990, and in 1997, with the recommendation of fellow Canadian and a great wrestler of all time, “Hit Man” Bret Hart, Edge got his ticket to the WWE . And boy, did make a hell of an impact. Edge soon joined forces with Christian, and after a brief stint in the Undertaker Ministry of darkness, the two Canadians became part of the team’s most successful labels, capturing the team titles WWE at least seven times. Edge and Christian, along with the Hardy Boys and the Dudley Boyz, revolutionized the team in the division of labels and everyone went crazy the sizes of the tables, ladders and chairs. In fact, Edge & Christian won consecutive games against The Hardys TLC and Dudley at WrestleMania XVI and XVII.

Edge was established in 2001 as a singles competitor when he won the King of the Ring, after the edge was to win the European, Hardcore and Intercontinental titles on several occasions. During this time, Edge was involved in several notable fights, including one with Kurt Angle, where he shaved the head of the corner and gave the appearance that leads to bald today. Edge also won several tag team titles with Hulk Hogan, Rey Mysterio, Chris Benoit and Randy Orton. coincides with the edge of Hardcore with Mick Foley at WrestleMania was voted “the best hardcr match ever” by a panel of the WWE Hall of Fame.

But the biggest break of the race of Edge come to New Year’s Revolution, 2006, on the edge earned the label of ‘Ultimate Opportunist’ using their money-in-the contract-Bank (which won at WrestleMania ) to beat a battered John Cena and win his first WWE Championship. Edge mercurial run will continue for the next 4 years, during which wins the WWE Championship 4 times and the World Heavyweight Championship seven times! This period saw Edge once again involved in numerous big games the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker and Batista.

Edge’s career was marred by an injury more than once. Had to undergo surgery for a serious neck injury in 2003 that kept him sidelined for over a year. After his return in 2004, Edge suffered a groin injury that forced him to give up his Intercontinental Championship. Once in , Edge had to resign as World Heavyweight Champion as he tore the left pectoral muscle. In 2009, Edge suffered a torn Achilles tendon, which in turn put it on the shelves for months. These lesions are repeated the reasons cited by the edge of his surprising decision.

So, as we bid farewell to one of the greatest artists of professional wrestling, here are some interesting facts about the life and career of singing:

1. Edge’s real name is Adam Copeland. Born to an unwed mother, who has never met his father, nor seen a picture of him.

2. Edge has access to your first year of wrestling training after winning an essay contest with the theme “Why should I be a pro-fighter.”

3. Edge has a diploma in broadcasting.

4. Bret Hart recommendation is that the edge of his contract with WWE. Ironically, the first appearance of the edge of the WWE came a day after Bret was screwed by Vince McMahon and left the WWE.

5. Edge held the World Heavyweight Championship as many times (7), since the title was returned in 2002.

6. Edge is one of the few wrestlers to write his autobiography in its entirety by himself, by hand. The book is called Adam Copeland over the edge.
