WWE: Macho Man

May 20, 2011 by Post Team

WWE: Macho Man, The death of Randy “Macho Man” Savage this morning has crushed Hulk Hogan. The two WWE veterans were rivals (in the camera, at least) for years before he became good friends and tag-team work as the Mega Powers in the late 80′s. A decade later, they had a fight and not talk for long. But after getting wind of today’s tragic news, a duel Hogan took Twitter to reflect and pay tribute. This is what he and some fellow fighters Savage had to say about his fallen comrade, “I am completely devastated, after more than 10 years of not talking to Randy, we have finally begun to speak and communicate,” tweeted Hulk. “I had so much life in her eyes & in spirit, just pray that he is happy and in a better place and we miss him.”

The Hulkster said: “. I miss her so much I feel very sorry for the ten years of no communication this was a difficult question.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who recently took time from his busy film career and returned to the WWE Raw a few weeks ago, also weighed in.

“RIP Randy” Macho Man “Savage – who was one of my childhood inspirations and heroes [sic],” tweeted the fighter into a movie star. “The strength, love and prayers for the Savage / Poffo family.”

John Cena: “. Cenation the untimely death of Randy Savage is really tragic all true wrestling fans to mourn the loss one of the greats of all time…”

Also pays tribute to the friends of Slim Jim. Macho Man starred in a series of commercials to utter his famous phrase, “in a snap Slim Jim.”

“We are saddened by the loss. Randy was loved by the brand ambassador Slim Jim for many years and missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this time,” said a representative of ConAgra Foods, owner Slim Jim brand.

Savage, 58, apparently suffered a heart attack while driving in Tampa and crashed into a tree. His wife also suffered what the Florida Highway Patrol described as “minor injuries”. The authorities have opened an investigation into the accident and an autopsy is scheduled for this weekend.
