Worst Baby Names
October 27, 2011 by staff
I hated the names on my short list, and I hated him for not being able to muster up any useful contribution to all.
When it was finally a name he liked, I took delight in pointing out that perhaps the baby’s name was the worst he had ever heard, and proceeded to crush under my feet like a cigarette butt.
He deserved it after he shot holes through the 27 beautiful names that I had submitted.
I am, of course, being a little dramatic here. We discuss a little about the baby’s name, but it was a process that I think parents can go through together, and still come out not resent the other end.
After all, we did eventually find a name that we both love. Our two year old has even started calling your soon-to-be baby sister by name.
Now we have this beautiful, perfect, hard-earned the name, I feel quite protective of it. I’m keeping the baby’s name secret, because if I’m not the reaction I want, I think it could literally rip someone’s head off.
In fact, when I excitedly told my younger brother, the name he had chosen for his niece, he stopped and said: “. I work with about three women who have that name will not be whole”
My brother is in the middle of his twenty years is not a parent and probably did not give his answer very important, but seriously, why is it so hard for people to lie and say you love or at least as your choice? Why?
