In the film, based on 2006 novel by Max Brooks World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, Pitt plays a worker at the United Nations after the war of the Commission, collecting the stories and experiences of those who survived a zombie attack. Filming has already taken place in Valletta, Malta and Falmouth in Cornwall. World War Z is due to be launched next year.
