Woman Gives Birth In The Most Remarkable Way, A pregnant Idaho mother performed the ultimate feat of multi-tasking: giving birth while driving a car. Mom and baby are both doing fine, although the new mother is still surprised by the extraordinary delivery.

According to the Magic Valley Times, Shawna Uriguen was driving to a doctor’s appointment in Burley, Idaho, when she realized her baby was coming faster than expected. Uriguen had been experiencing irregular contractions for a while and had been breathing through them with no trouble, but she didn’t recognize the signs of advancing labor. In the small town of Heyburn, she stopped at a stoplight. She was talking on the phone to her fiancé and suddenly told him that the baby was coming.

“I heard the baby crying, and I was still driving because I was trying to find a spot to stop safely and pull off the road without blocking traffic,” Uriguen said.

At 1:10 p.m., Kimber Marie Crown slid into the world, and right down her mother’s pants leg!

Uriguen’s fiancé, Clay Crown, is a former volunteer emergency medical technician. He helped his fiancé remain calm as the baby was being born, and told Uriguen to put the baby on her chest for warmth.
