Wimbledon 2011 Results, The sun shone today for Day 2 of Wimbledon 2011 and the results were as expected. Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Caroline Wozniack made through the second round. However, Federer took a while to get going but once it started not stop you.
There are some who have doubted Roger Federer and I think he has started to lose his touch, but some of the shots he did today seemed a bit impossible. Although it would be nice to see Andy Murray wins this year, we cannot encourage Federer to lead his seventh victory at Wimbledon.
He was against Mikhail Kukushkin, Russia and even showed signs of pressure on Federer, who finally beat him 7-6, 6-4, 6-2. Novak Djokovic showed he was on top of his game and made light work of Jeremy Chardy. You have to wonder what would have happened if he had Federer found today, especially as sent Chardy 6-4, 6-1, 6-1?
World number one Caroline Wozniacki also in court today and was playing Arantxa Parra Santonja on court No. 1. The first set was an easy job and the second Santonja tried to do things a little harder, but world-class player still win the 105th-ranked Spanish 6-2, 6-1.
