Willy Wonka Leonard Stone, The actor who played Violet Beauregarde father in 1971 “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” died on Wednesday, November 2. Leonard Stone died at the age of 87 after a bout of cancer, his agent confirmed to TMZ.
Stone was one parent last survivor of the classic film. Roy Kinnear who played Veronica’s father Salt died 17 years after the film was released. Ursula Reit Gloop played mother died in August 1998, while Nora Denney played Mike Teevee died in 2005.
Stone last role was in 2006 when he was 83 years, playing a character in “Surrender Dorothy”. The actor has had roles in over 120 television shows and 35 films since 1956 including “General Hospital” and “LA Law”.
