William Shatner Covers Black SabbathWilliam Shatner Covers Black Sabbath, Actor William Shatner has recorded a version of Iron Man Black Sabbath heavy metal track of his new album concept.

The Star Trek icon is working on his musical release third, the pursuit of Major Tom, with Shatner character channeling David Bowie Space Oddity by their own vision of a wide variety of topics in space of the songs, which includes issues of The Police (Walking on the Moon), Frank Sinatra (Lost in the Stars) and Pink Floyd (Learning to fly).

Shatner and the 1970 version of Black Sabbath hit has been cleared by Zakk Wylde, Ozzy Osbourne’s former guitarist, adding a little credibility by collaborating with veteran television star on the track.

Wylde says, “He’s super cool. We had an amazing time working together.”

The search for Major Tom goes on sale later this month (Oct11).
