Where Does British Royal Family Income Come From, The British media has reported that Britain’s royal household has been hit by the country’s economic downturn in an attempt British people consider to be a sob story.

On Sunday the Daily Telegraph reported that Britain’s royal household is expected to see six consecutive years of cuts to their fund as the queen is to face a pay freeze until 2015 with her income having dropped since 2009.

Moreover, the newspaper reported that taxpayers’ money will not be used to pay for the expenses of the staff for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as the Prince of Wales will become responsible for the costs involved.

During the short span of time between 1991 and 1992, the queen received nearly £80 million from taxpayer funding. Nevertheless, the newspaper claimed that her share of taxpayer funding saw a huge drop as it fell to £38.3 million in 2008-9.

Furthermore, the Sunday Time reported that the royal household is to witness funding cuts during the coming years.

“The grant levels envisaged in the early years of the new system [starting in April 2013] are, in real terms, below what the Royal Household spent in every one of the last 20 years,” the paper quoted the Sovereign Grant Bill.

The media reports come as British people maintain that such reports were published only after media people met with the royal household at the monarch’s royal palace.
