What Is Movember?

Peter Stoffer NDP and Conservative Larry Miller were among the MPs who shaved his trademark facial hair on Parliament Hill to start the month of mustache-growing movement dedicated to raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer health problems for men.
Liberal MP Justin Trudeau shaved his beard live on CBC News Network.
“I grew a beard just over the Halloween weekend, and now I’m taking off in the air what it was that I managed to grow,” said Trudeau.
Approximately 22 million and raised in Canada last year for the cause, said Trudeau.
“We will try to reach 30 million this year. We have to work hard,” he said. “But it’s an easy guy to work that just sort of sit back and let his face most of the heavy lifting.”
Trudeau said that people of all political stripes to participate in Movember this year, and urged Canadians across the country to support the men who took part in the campaign.
“It’s something everyone can be part of this,” he said.
Thousands of men in Canada and other countries grow whiskers every November as part of fundraising.
