West Virginia Election ResultsWest Virginia Election Results, West Virginia Democratic Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin reportedly won the race for governor, according to The Associated Press.

Mr. Tomblin, president of the Logan County state Senate, has been acting as governor since last year, when Manchin was elected to the U.S. Senate last year. West Virginia Democrat, easily won the crowded Democratic primary. Republican businessman Bill Maloney, who has never held public office, reinforcing the race in recent weeks.

The election results continue a career that was defined largely by Republican attempts to connect Obama and the administration of Mr. Tomblin is. Polls showed that Mr. Tomblin be the most popular of the two candidates, however, a late attack of negative ads was designed to give a boost to Mr. Maloney.

However, in commercial television end of his campaign, Mr. Tomblin up last Wednesday in West Virginia airwaves with an ad that highlighted the support he has received from former West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin, a most popular politicians in the state.

Mr. Tomblin now completing the last year in office as governor is Mr. Manchin. As chairman of the Senate, Mr. Tomblin the vacancy is filled as requested by the state constitution.
