Washington Wizards & Logo
May 11, 2011 by staff
Washington Wizards & Logo, The Washington Wizards have a new owner, Ted Leonsis, who obviously has big plans, great for the NBA team. That’s right. Leonsis is going to lead his new team straight to the top … List of fashion Mr. Black.
One of the first things that Leonsis has done – and faster than what usually happens in such circumstances – is to give the team a new uniform and logo. (Normally it takes two years for NBA teams to change their logo -. Leonsis made it happen in 11 months) the new uniforms were created by a team of 11 designers from Adidas, with input from the NBA and the Wizards.
I’m not a fan of the Washington Wizards (nothing personal, just do not live there), but if someone were to change the logo of my beloved Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics or Patriots would be kind of upset. But Leonsis love the new image (if he says so himself).
As he wrote in his blog, Ted takes:
The color change is important because it now makes red, white and blue, the main theme for all three of our sports teams – the Capitals, Wizards and Mystics. I think it’s located in the capital of our nation, that this was an easy and obvious.
I have confidence that we can create a new iconic brand that made its way to less expensive goods such as hats and shirts for that many people can represent our franchise and are proud to be branded and looks strong, simple and a logo that represents us locally!
And also help us to go back to the best parts of our past traditions and the path to success.
What we have done is simple and elegant I think. Players who like it and I hope it will. I do.
