Mayoral Candidate Leo AlexanderWashington Post:(Los Angeles Times) — Following the horror attacks of September 11, 01, the world of brains has grown dramatically, but questions remain about how effective the operation.

The Washington Post spent two years studying the intelligence community and said Monday that it has become “so big, so unwieldy and so secret that nobody knows how much money is the number of people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies doing the same job. ”

“After nine years of unprecedented spending and growth, the result is that the system put in place to keep America safe is so massive that its effectiveness is impossible to determine,” the newspaper found.
