Walkoff Grand Slam

Walkoff Grand Slam, For a time during the second game of the NLCS, it appeared that the Tigers could go with a victory over the Texas Rangers, but Rangers’ Nelson Cruz had other plans. Cruz not only hit the game tying homer in the seventh inning, but the appointment of grand slam in the eleventh leading the Rangers get the win.
Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre calls the incredible game, adding that “it was one of those games that both teams had many opportunities, but Nellie went big and has two big hits for us,” according to MLB.com. In fact, the Rangers had the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, but Mitch Moreland hit a double play that ended the inning.
Tigers manager Jim Leyland told The New York Times that his team could not get the big hit when needed. “It was a great two games that could have gone either way … We could not get the key hits and were able to.”
The series shifts to Detroit where the Tigers will host the next three games. Game three starts at 8:05 pm tonight, with Doug Fister Tigers game against the Rangers Colby Lewis.
