Wade Lebron Game, Several NBA All-Stars took part in the South Florida All-Star Classic on Saturday. The charity match was held in the U.S. Century Bank Arena at Florida International University. The party was hosted by Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat.
According to the New York Times, other participants included Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks, Chris Paul of New Orleans, Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City, Rajon Rondo, Boston, and others.
In the end, Wade’s team defeated the team of LeBron James, 141-140 in overtime.
However, as NBC reports Miami, blocking the NBA, which has been going on for 100 days now, was the topic of the day, but Wade would have preferred that it was not.
“This is very unfortunate this situation, when you have two parties that at the end of the day have the same goal, just two different ways to get there,” Wade said in an interview. “We both want to grow this game. We both want the NBA to be as good as it can. We want everyone to succeed. But we both have two different ways to get there.
“We’re not really here to talk about the lockout,” said Wade. “We really want to talk about basketball.”
With virtually no progress in the negotiations, the lockout threatens to cancel the first two weeks of the season.
