Virginia Tech ShootingVirginia Tech Shooting, More than four years after an incident involving a gunman killed 32 people in April 2007 before killing himself, Virginia Tech was in another scary situation Thursday morning.

Three children attending a camp on the campus of the school reported that a suspicious-looking man walking outside a residence shortly after 9, who said he had a gun on him. The man was described as a white, male six feet tall, with brown hair, wearing sandals and short gray brown. The institute, learning of the incidents that occurred more than four years, entered into block away, shortly after the report was made after 9:30 AM.

The website of the school issued the following statement on its website, as well as the text messaging system of notification, “the person with a firearm near Dietrick. Stay inside. Door security. Responding emergency personnel. Call 911 for help. ”

While the fall session does not start until August 22, a few thousand people still at school between the summer courses to take, as well as those who have several camps and programs for children, including three children, reported that the alleged murderer. The girls were part of a larger group called Performance, a program for disadvantaged families in Washington.

The university, which was criticized by the response to the shooting in 2007, is now receiving praise for his response this time. University spokesman Larry Hincker admitted they are “in a new era,” now. “Obviously, the campus experienced some pretty terrible four years ago. In these times, I do not think we had no choice but to issue a campus alert,” he added.

A sketch of the gunman was released after classes were canceled and 13:00. Officials from eight different agencies and then searched the campus came and questioned several people but no specific person is suspected. More than five hours after the close, the alert was lifted at 2:41 PM. “A lack of information, we had to raise the alert,” said Hincker.
