“Demand has been phenomenal,” Buyer Cadillac footwear, Matt Servaites he said. “In my 10 years working here, I’ve never seen anything like this.”
People are wearing shoes for everything, in addition to running barefoot. Walking, swimming, hiking, working in the gym or work alone.
“That’s interesting,” said Servaites. “At first I thought it would be a very limited demographic – high-level athletes performance but I’m just looking at all segments of the population buying these things.”
Barefoot running enthusiast Mike Updegraff has competed in the Vibram FiveFingers.
“I like a lot, actually,” he said. “It’s a nice transition in bare feet. They have no padding at all. It is basically just put a glove on your foot.”
