Vermont, People in communities in Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts who are in the area of emergency evacuation of the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant will be hearing more than usual tests emergency siren.

Cities test their sirens once a month and most often run as a matter of seconds. Testing in November, it will run the sirens for three minutes.

The first test will be extended in Hinsdale, NH, from 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.

On Wednesday, the towns of Massachusetts Bernardston, Colrain, Gill, Leyden, Northfield and will run their tests from 19 hours

On Saturday, November 6 at noon, the extent of survey will be conducted in the towns of Brattleboro, Dummerston and Guilford, Vt., while the towns of New Hampshire Chesterfield, Richmond, Swanzey and Winchester test their sirens at 12:30
