Vermilion Bay, A Coast Guard spokesman said 13 people were on WWL platform and one person was injured and another 12 have been taken into account. Rescue helicopters and cutters reportedly in response to the scene.
The drilling (Vermillion 380) is owned by Mariner Energy. Immediate reports indicate that this was not too active.

Update: Reportedly, seven Coast Guard helicopters, two Coast Guard aircraft and four Coast Guard cutters on the way to the platform, according to U.S. Coast Guard Ranel officer Casey. The production platform is located approximately 90 miles from Grand Isle. There is no evidence or no oil or gas is leaking on the platform, located in 340 feet of water, according to the White House, Robert Gibbs, said.
Mariner Energy has interests in 350 federal leases offshore in the Gulf of Mexico, 110 in development.
Mariner drilled five offshore wells in the third quarter of 2009, two of which were successful: the 380 were a Mariner Vermillion and have a hundred percent working interest.
According to the Mariner damaged well was producing 47 percent oil and 53 percent of natural gas in late 2009.
At year-end 2009 estimated proved reserves attributable to our field were 33.2Bcfe 380 Vermillion, consisting of approximately 47% oil and natural gas liquids and 53% of natural gas. During 2008 and 2009, five wells were drilled and added additional production capacity in the “A” of the platform.
