Verizon Wireless, (AP) – NEW YORK – In a sign of warming relations between the two companies, Verizon Wireless will begin selling Apple Inc. iPad at the end of this month, the companies said Thursday.

The following news published reports that Verizon Wireless will begin selling an iPhone version of next year. The companies have not confirmed the reports, and Verizon Wireless has downplayed the possibility of an iPhone for its current network.

AT & T Inc. Apple exclusive U.S. carrier for iPhone. It is also the only U.S. carrier that is compatible with the “3G” version of the IPAD, which allows access to cellular data.

Verizon Wireless will not sell the 3G versions. Instead, it will sell Wi-Fi version, with the option of bundling with a “MiFi” gadget for about 130.
